Oluremi Tinubu pays condolence visit to Akwa Ibom governor over wife’s death

Nigeria’s First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, has expressed her deep sorrow over the passing of Patience Umo Eno, wife of Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno.

During a condolence visit at the Governor’s Lodge in Uyo, the First Lady described the late Patience Eno as a peaceful, God-fearing woman who was devoted to serving her people.

Reflecting on her relationship with the deceased, Tinubu said, “I am honored to have met her. Despite her short time in life, she finished her course well. Politics aside, we are all Nigerians, and we should show love and care when we meet people.”

She offered words of comfort to the governor and his family, assuring them of her continued support during this difficult time.

The First Lady, joined by Hajia Nana Shettima, wife of the Vice President, and wives of governors and National Assembly leaders, signed a condolence register in honor of the late Patience Eno. Special prayers were also held for the repose of her soul and for strength for the grieving family.

Governor Umo Eno expressed gratitude for the First Lady’s visit, acknowledging her as a true mother to all, irrespective of party affiliation.

He described his late wife as his greatest partner, stating that he would mourn her for the rest of his life but vowed to continue her legacy and sustain the activities of her office in the state.
