Oluremi Tinubu reaffirms commitment to women empowerment, lauds DSS for promoting gender balance

First Lady of Nigeria, Oluremi Tinubu, has reaffirmed her dedication to empowering women and promoting their inclusion in leadership roles across the country.

During a courtesy visit from a Department of State Security (DSS) delegation led by Deputy Director-General Mrs. Afolashade Adekayaoja at the State House Presidential Villa, Senator Tinubu emphasized the Tinubu administration’s commitment to advancing women’s participation in decision-making at all levels.

She underscored the importance of recognizing and rewarding hardworking women in various sectors, noting that female leaders serve as role models for other women across Nigeria.

“The inclusion of women in leadership is a priority for this administration. Their contributions should be acknowledged and supported to inspire greater participation,” Tinubu stated.

She also urged women in leadership positions to support one another, collaborate effectively, and diligently fulfill their responsibilities for the nation’s development.

DSS Deputy Director-General Mrs. Afolashade Adekayaoja praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the First Lady for their continued support of women’s leadership in Nigeria.

She commended their efforts to appoint women to key decision-making roles and acknowledged Senator Tinubu’s strong advocacy for gender equality.

Adekayaoja also reaffirmed the DSS’s dedication to ensuring the safety and security of Nigerian citizens, emphasizing that a secure environment is essential for national progress and peaceful governance.
