Oluremi Tinubu refutes claims of organizing national prayer event

First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has dismissed circulating reports that she is organizing a national prayer event.

In a recent statement, the First Lady clarified that recent news on social and traditional media about a planned joint national prayer for Nigeria is both false and unfounded.

Known for her advocacy of prayer and unity, Senator Tinubu emphasized that prayer is a deeply personal act—one she believes should be undertaken sincerely and voluntarily by all Nigerians, regardless of religion, political affiliation, or ethnicity.

While encouraging citizens to pray for the nation, the First Lady asserted that there were no plans on her part to organizing any formal prayer event.

She further urged the public to verify any information concerning her or her office through official channels to prevent the spread of misinformation.
