Oluwo Stool: My contenders are perpetual failures- Oba Akanbi
The Oluwo of Iwoland in Osun State, Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, has described the contenders for his throne as “perpetual failure”, saying that his enthronement was divine and cannot be thwarted by human.
Oba Akanbi made this assertion in a statement issued on Friday by his Chief Press Secretary, Alli Ibraheem, announcing his victory at the Court of Appeal
The Iwo monarch stated that since his enthronement as Oluwo, the town has been moving progressively, adding that he had committed himself to the improvement of Iwo, defend her heritage, traditions and culture with no criminality and barbarism.
Highlighting some of his achievements since becoming the king, Oba Akanbi explained that ” I have cleaned the dirtiest part of this great Yoruba tradition and culture to make it an envy of the world and people have understood the difference. I have facilitated federal presence within ten years, I’m not surprised that some are still chasing shadow”
” My contenders are perpetual failures. They are made to waste their resources in pursuing shadow.I can’t help them because they are purposeful for my promotion. They should continue their litigation while I continue to reign (Awon nse ejo, emi nse ijoba). Please, go to Supreme Court. You won’t be alright should you resign to faith at this eleventh hour. You are my son but I can’t help your ministry since you have resigned to be loss.

He acknowledged his legal team for their sacrifice and commitment, saying “You shall continue to rise from top to top and apex to apex. My Ekarun, you are equally commended.
