Ondo APC welcomes complaints from aggrieved Reps aspirants

The Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has asked aggrieved House of Representatives aspirants to channel their complaints through the party’s Primary Appeal Committee following controversies trailing the just-concluded primaries.

The party said the appeal panel had commenced sitting at the APC State Secretariat along Olu Obasanjo Road in Akure to entertain petitions from dissatisfied aspirants.

In a statement issued on Saturday by the State Secretary of the party, Alex Kalejaye, the APC urged affected aspirants to take advantage of the committee’s presence to formally present their grievances.

Kalejaye explained that the committee was constituted to ensure fairness, justice and transparency in the conduct of the primary process.

He stated, “The All Progressives Congress in Ondo State wishes to inform the general public, and indeed House of Representatives aspirants, who are displeased with the primary process thus far, that the Primary Appeal Committee will be ready to entertain complaints today at the State Secretariat.”

The party stressed that the committee would attend to all complaints brought before it by aspirants seeking redress over the exercise.

“The party urges aspirants to take advantage of the availability of the Appeal Committee, put in place for the purpose of fair play and justice, to present their complaints,” the statement added.

Kalejaye further noted that the committee would remain at the secretariat until all aggrieved aspirants had been heard, adding that the move was aimed at preserving unity within the party ahead of the general elections.
