The Ondo State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Idowu Ajanaku, has described Ondo@50 anniversary as inclusive and impactful while acknowledging Governor Aiyedatiwa for visionary leadership.
Ajanaku, who chaired the Media Committee for the celebration, said the golden jubilee reflected the leadership prowess of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
He noted that the recognition of past leaders through lifetime achievement awards highlighted the administration’s emphasis on continuity and institutional memory.
The commissioner further stated that the anniversary had a direct social impact, particularly on the youths, who benefited from essay competitions and received both land and cash prizes.
According to him, the rewards would provide long-term support for young beneficiaries and their families. “The state government is positioning Ondo for economic transformation beyond a civil service–driven structure,” Ajanaku said.
In addition, he identified the Olokola Free Trade Zone, the Deep Sea Port and the proposed refinery as major projects intended to drive industrial growth.
The commissioner added that the projects would strengthen the state’s economy over the next five decades and thanked various stakeholders for their roles in ensuring a smooth anniversary celebration.
