Ondo Commissioner for Information, Ojogo resigns to contest House of Reps seat

Commissioner for information and Orientation in Ondo State, Mr. Donald Ojogo, has resigned.
In his resignation letter, Mr. Ojogo said he was resigning to contest the House of Representatives seat for Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constituency in the 2023 general elections on the platform of the ruling party in the state, the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He said he was resigning in line with the provision of Section 84 (12) of the Electoral Act, 2022 and in line with the circular received from the office of the Secretary to the State Government.
He said: “I wish to tender my resignation as honourable commissioner in the government of Ondo State to enable me to pursue my aspiration to run for the office of the House of Representatives in the National Assembly come 2023.”
