Ondo election: APC’s massive vote will shock opposition parties, says party chieftain

By Deborah Oladejo, Osogbo

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Hon. Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, has confidently predicted that the APC’s overwhelming support in the upcoming Ondo State gubernatorial election will leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and other opposition parties astonished.

Speaking in Osogbo on Sunday, Oyintiloye, a member of the APC National Campaign Stakeholders Engagement Committee for the election, expressed unwavering confidence in the party’s victory in the November 16th election.

He emphasized that Ondo State, known as a stronghold for progressive ideals, would follow suit in re-electing the APC with a landslide margin. According to Oyintiloye, the party’s candidate, Lucky Ayedatiwa, is a visionary leader who has implemented people-centered policies and programs that resonate with the electorate.

“Ondo State has experienced steady development in healthcare, education, agriculture, infrastructure, and rural community growth since Ayedatiwa assumed office,” Oyintiloye stated, highlighting the transformation witnessed under the APC’s governance over the past eight years.

A former lawmaker himself, Oyintiloye called on the electorate to turn out en masse to secure a decisive victory for the APC, showcasing the quality leadership of the incumbent administration.

“There is no doubt; the election will be free, fair, and peaceful, and APC will win by a clear margin,” he said. “The people of Ondo will not let the state regress, and they’ll come out peacefully to vote for the APC. There is no magic needed—APC will win massively, and the opposition will be shocked.”

Under the leadership of Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, Oyintiloye assured that the campaign committee would execute its duties diligently.

He urged voters to remain peaceful and orderly before and after the election, adding that the contest should not be a “do or die” affair. He also called on all political participants to abide by the rules of the game.
