Ooni commends Adeleke on Lagere flyover, road projects in Ile-Ife

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, has commended Governor Ademola Adeleke for the ongoing Lagere flyover and road dualisation projects in Ile-Ife, describing the area as the “nerve centre” of Ifeland.
‎
Oba Ogunwusi made the remarks when he received the governor at his palace, noting that development projects were being spread across Osun State, contrary to claims in some quarters.
‎
He said the governor’s development agenda, which began in Ede, has extended to other parts of the state, adding that the Lagere project was of strategic importance to Ile-Ife.
‎
The monarch also urged the governor to ensure speedy completion of the projects, stressing the need for contractors to intensify work on the site.
‎
“For us, we commend your infrastructure projects at Lagere. That point is the melting point of all local governments across Ifeland. From all corners of Ife, we have one thing or the other to do at Lagere. We have all seen that it is not Ede alone that is enjoying development. All towns and villages in our dear state are feeling your impact. Under your leadership, Osun is looking good,” he said.
‎
The Ooni also prayed for the governor, describing his leadership as divinely guided and wishing him success in the forthcoming election.
‎
Responding, Adeleke said his visit was to update the monarch on the progress of work at the Lagere flyover and dualisation project, adding that he was closely monitoring the project for timely completion.
‎
He assured the Ooni of his administration’s commitment to even development across Osun State, saying he remained focused on a fair and inclusive infrastructure agenda.
