Ooni of Ife lauds NLTF CEO for commitment to transforming lives
In a recent visit to the palace of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Comrade Tosin Adeyanju, the Executive Secretary/CEO of the National Lottery Trust Fund (NLTF), was praised as a “blessed child” capable of significantly impacting lives through philanthropic initiatives.
The Ooni extended his commendation during a ceremony to mark the presentation of essential medical equipment to Ijebu Jesa General Hospital in Osun State. He expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for appointing Adeyanju, highlighting his potential as a responsible and formidable youth in Nigeria.
“He is our son and a fortunate child who deserves recognition,” the Ooni stated. “We are confident that he will not disappoint his roots. Despite the challenges facing our country, we believe that with God’s grace, he will succeed.”
The revered monarch also acknowledged Hon. Faleke’s contributions in discovering and uplifting young talents, wishing him continued success.
During the visit, the Ooni urged Adeyanju to prioritize impactful initiatives that promote development across Nigeria, particularly using the lottery fund to support youth-focused activities.
In his response, Adeyanju expressed his joy at being received by the Ooni, stating, “I am emotionally elated and surprised by the warm welcome I have received here. This visit marks my first official assignment outside Abuja since my appointment.”
He emphasized President Tinubu’s commitment to the people of Osun, stating, “I am here to assure the people of Osun that Mr. President cares about their welfare, regardless of their political affiliations.”
Adeyanju highlighted the NLTF’s renewed focus on intervention across various sectors, including sports, disaster relief, education, agriculture, and healthcare. He announced plans to donate significant medical equipment, valued at millions of Naira, to Ijebu Ijesha as a testament to the government’s commitment to the people of Osun.
Expressing gratitude for the opportunity to lead the NLTF, Adeyanju promised to uphold the trust placed in him by President Tinubu and to work diligently for the betterment of Nigeria and its citizens.
