Tinubu’s ascendancy: When God has spoken, By Kola Amzat

Nigeria is a creation of God, just like any other nation across the globe. And, without any shadow of doubt, her existence is for a divine purpose. When that purpose has not been fulfilled, God is at liberty to continually tinker with her until He achieves what’s divinely purposed for her. And, who is that being who wants to counter or goes against the God’s will and desire? Who is working against God purpose to enthrone whoever He desires to turn Nigeria fortunes around?

‘Woe to those who quarrels with their maker, those who are nothing but potsherds among the potsherds on the ground. Does the clay say to potter, ‘What are you making?’ Does your work say, ‘The potter has no hands?’ Woe to the one who says to a father, ‘What have you begotten?’ Or to a mother, ‘What have you brought to birth?’ Isaiah 45: 9-10

When God speaks, He doesn’t mince words. He speaks in a number of ways. Often, He does it by Himself; sometimes, it could be through His Angels or through gestures. But, He always expect us to hear Him clearly and adhere strictly to His commands and when we refused to hearken unto Him or pretend not to hear, He simply does His will and move on. But, His word remains irrevocable, as well as irreversible.

In the case of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Almighty God has spoken and the voice is loud and clear enough. So, it’s incumbent on all of us to hear and operate in sync with God desire otherwise, the stubborn hearted would only incur the wrath and fury of God. He owes no apology to those who have the thought, that He should have done it otherwise.

From His throne in heaven, God suddenly looked at Nigeria nation all over and ascertained that, the successive leaders have bluntly refused to deploy for the benefit of Nigerian people, so much endowments He has deposited in our lands in all the nooks & crannies. The vast deposit of oil and gas; the incredible endowments of solid minerals in their diverse forms; innumerable agricultural produce; beautiful weather; fertile lands all over, and incredible mighty oceans, and more importantly, uncommon diversity.

He recognizes that the nation successive leaders who he had in the past saddled with the responsibility of taking Nigerian to the greater heights, whether deliberately or for lacking in ideas, knowledge and initiatives of what to do, succeeded in plundering and mismanaging the nation resources, causing woes, pains, agonies and tribulations unto the people and persistently, leaving the country economy and other facets in the state of prostrate and despondence.

This perhaps might have accounted for God’s resolve in enthroning the incumbent president, who in His assessment ticks all boxes: appreciable knowledge of economy being a qualified Accountant, impressive knowledge of oil & gas sector having operated at the top-echelon in that sector; comprehensive knowledge of Nigeria nation, with close friends amongst traditional rulers, top military brass, professionals & political class and impressive entrepreneurial initiatives, having been an highly successive business man, with vast interests in all facets of business entrepreneurship, as well as sound knowledge of security architecture having been previously in charge of Lagos state, a cosmopolitan and most diverse state in the country between 1999 to 2007.

By now, it ought to have dawned on the political foes and adversaries that it was God who took charge of Tinubu presidency. Left to them alone with mountains of barriers they placed on his path particularly during the electioneering campaigns, Tinubu wouldn’t have moved close to Aso Villa.

Nigeria vividly recall how the political adversaries and opposition groups made so much fuss about Tinubu health, technically placing Nigerians in panic mode that he’s not physically & mentally fit to lead the nation. We won’t forget in hurry of so much propaganda that they orchestrated in respect of his certificates and academic laurels. Of course, their campaigns of calumny and all their attempts to drag his name to the mud, concerning already closed chapter on drug case is still very fresh in our memory. Everything was done to unhorse and frustrate him.

But, here we are today! President Bola Tinubu is now in absolute charge of the affairs of the country and it’s crystal clear that, this is the God’s agenda.

Just within a month he ascended, there is already breath of fresh air all over the country. Of course, the hydra-headed oil subsidy is gone, with major stakeholders already cultivated on the need to understand, cooperate, as well as collaborate with government in its quest to unlock annual funds of about $4-5 trillion hitherto been wasted on subsidy to medical facilities, transportation, infrastructural developments, and even, educations.

The Federal Government has already announced the unification of exchange rate with the FX windows already collapsed into the Investors & Exporters (I&E) window. In the months and years ahead, the effects of this all important policy in the economy and foreign reserves account would be mind-blowing.

Shortly before he departed for Global Finance Pact Summit in Paris, the president orchestrated an unprecedented Tsunami in the nation security architecture team, sweeping away, as well as replacing all service chiefs, Inspector General of Police, Comptroller of Customs and also, appointed key military personnel in strategic locations within the Federal Capital Territory, as well as in Aso Villa. There is no doubt that this development has heralded a new era in security of the nations, both the territorial integrity and life & properties.

Meanwhile, Nigerian suddenly became the new bride of the global community at the Global Finance Pact Summit in Paris with the President assuming the position of Chief Diplomat marketing Nigeria image and brand to the eminent leaders around the globe who attended the conference, including The President & Chairman, Indorama Polyester Industries, the largest polyester company in the world, President & Chairman of Afrexim, Presidents of Switzerland, Benin Republic and many others. From African Development Bank, Nigeria secured immediate Investment of $520 million in a specialized agro-processing zones in our country.

It’s already a stale news that President Tinubu has assented to the Student Loans Fund Act, a law meant to provide Interests Loan Free to Nigeria students seeking higher education in Tertiary Institutions in the country. Tinubu has also signed into law the Electricity Bill Act, an all-important law that authorizes states, companies and individuals to generate, transmit and distribute electricity. The new bill repeals Electricity Power Sector Reform Act (EPSRA) signed into law in 2001. The law is designed to break monopoly in electricity generation, transmission and distribution.

Godwin Emefiele, the erstwhile CBN governor has been suspended from office by the president for many infractions, ranging from mismanagement of monetary policy, foreign reserves account, foisting multiple forex on the nation, an inglorious initiative meant to continually enrich himself and his cronies, inflicting pains and agonies on Nigerians and their businesses through the thoughtless and inglorious Naira Redesign policy and more importantly, his effrontery and unethical conduct in bidding for the nation’s presidency while still in the office as CBN governor, thereby treating the entire nation with contempt, disrespect and disregard.

On a related note, the president is opening a new chapter in the campaign against endemic corruption in our country, as he has suspended indefinitely, youthful EFCC chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa to pave way for the investigation of very damning and sweeping allegations of several infractions against him. He will also have his days with law authority after the investigations.

In the meantime, Nigeria has just posted a trade surplus. The stock market has received a boost and rallied. Indeed, the capital market has continually experience unusual rally since Tinubu assumption of office, with local and foreign investors strongly planning an incredible influx into Nigerian capital market, as they pleased with peace in the country, as well as laudable economic measures already taken by the president.

More importantly, President Bola Tinubu characteristics of his eminent status as a first class democrat has since his assumption of office being engaging stakeholders in all issues, giving them sense of belonging irrespective of creed, ethnicity, religion, sex etc. He has demystified Aso Villa, by opening the seat of government to interactive discussions on diverse issues to Nigerians without necessarily losing authority and power.

The president has also ensured seamless constitution of leadership of national assembly, with leaders with very experienced and vast knowledge of politics taking charge of the rein of leadership both at the Red and Green Chambers, a development that would ensure seamless delivering of dividends of democracy to millions of Nigerian people.

Without much ado, it’s an auspicious time to advise Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi to stop dissipating energy & efforts where results would never come. Time has come for the duo to save Nigerians   unnecessary distractions they’re creating in the polity through the various litigations instituted that would eventually come to nought.

Nigeria is in a state of insecurity, economic prostrate, unemployment, distortion in our educational system and so many other vices. God in His infinite mercy has enthrone a president with uncommon capacity to turn things around in all facets.

Tinubu has shown capacity, admirable competence, zeal, patriotism, will, courage and comprehensive knowledge of our country. He is the leader for the moment. The best we could all do is to accord him maximum support to lead our nation out of the wood and sets her on the path of prosperity and honors.
