Osimhen, five other Super Eagles stars light up Turkish league

Turkish football fans will witness more Nigerian flair as the 2025/26 season kicks off, with six current Super Eagles players set to feature for various clubs.
Leading the Nigerian contingent is Super Eagles’ all-time top scorer, Victor Osimhen, who recently completed a permanent move to Galatasaray from Napoli.
He is joined by midfield powerhouse Wilfred Ndidi, who will wear the colours of Besiktas this season.
The duo of Henry Onyekuru and Oghenekaro Etebo have signed for Gençlerbirliği, adding more Nigerian presence to the league.
Completing the list are Paul Onuachu and Anthony Nwakaeme, both of whom will feature for Trabzonspor.
Over the years, Turkish football has hosted several Nigerian legends, including Austin Okocha, Daniel Amokachi, Uche Okechukwu, Joseph Yobo, Emmanuel Emenike, Victor Moses, and Bright Osayi-Samuel, among others.
