Osinbajo launches EFCC Zero Tolerance manual, harps on integrity to school children

Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo on Tuesday charged young people, most especially school children to embrace integrity and honesty in their life pursuits.

The Vice President spoke as the guest at the launch of Zero Tolerance Club Manual for schools in Abuja by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The event was attended by the EFCC Chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa, school administrators and civil society leaders.

Vice President Osinbajo noted that successful people and communities have always imbibed virtues of honour and integrity before they attained greatness.

“Traits such as integrity and honesty are crucial attributes that successful people and communities imbibe as a precursor to their success. They are the foundation on which a prosperous community thrives. Wherever you have integrity, you have trust, and trust is an important ingredient for communal cohesiveness and cooperation.

“It was my sincere honour to officially launch the EFCC Integrity and Zero Tolerance Clubs manual for schools around the country earlier today. At the launch, I spoke on the importance of safeguarding the youth from the ethical crisis and confusion currently confronting our nation.

“I also commended the chairman of the EFCC, Mr. Abdulrasheed Bawa for this outstanding initiative.

If we are to make a change in this critical area, we will have to start from the youths who are the future of our country, and that is exactly what the EFCC Integrity Club seeks to do,” said Osinbajo
