Osun 2026: Obokun APC leaders intensify grassroots mobilisation strategy

By Deborah Oladejo, Osogbo –

Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Obokun Local Government Area of Osun State have outlined new strategies to deepen grassroots mobilisation as preparations intensify for the governorship election in the state.

The decisions were made during a fortnightly meeting of the Obokun Leaders Forum held in Ilahun, Ward 3, where party stakeholders reviewed internal structures and campaign readiness across the council area.

According to participants, discussions centred on strengthening unity within the party and consolidating support at ward and community levels ahead of the poll.

A chieftain of the party, Hon. Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, stated during the meeting that reconciliation among party members remained a top priority. He noted that restoring trust and rebuilding confidence where necessary would form the foundation of their mobilisation drive in the coming months.

Also, Hon. Tunji Adesokun, a co-convener of the meeting, explained that rural engagement would receive renewed attention.

The forum resolved to broaden its outreach initiatives to ensure that all wards in Obokun LGA are fully integrated into the party’s activities, and reiterated their commitment to building what they described as a disciplined and people-focused political structure capable of delivering results at the polls.

At the close of the gathering, the Forum affirmed its readiness to work collectively towards securing victory for the party in Osun State, while maintaining stability within its ranks in Obokun Local Government Area.
