The Chief Judge of Osun State, Justice Oyebola Adepele-Ojo has threatened to grant bail to those accused in the murder of Timothy Adegoke, a Master’s degree student of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) over the absence of in court on Tuesday.

Adedoyin is the owner of Hilton Hotel, Ile-Ife, where the murder took place.

Adedoyin and six of his hotel workers, Magdalene Chiefuna, Adeniyi Aderogba, Oluwale Lawrence, Oyetunde Kazeem, Adebayo Kunle and Adesola Adedeji were dragged before the court over the alleged murder of Adegoke.

Adedoyin was absent at the resumed sitting on Tuesday with the reason that he was indisposed.

Prosecuting counsel, Fatimah Adesina, had informed the court that Adedoyin was not in court.

The judge who looked frustrated over the prolonged case said she was ready to deliver her 74-page ruling today but she could not because of the absence of the defendant.

Adepele-Ojo said that she may be compelled to transfer the case to another judge or grant the suspects bail if the trend continues.

“I may have to transfer the case to another judge.

At a time, I had to travel from the USA for this case, only for it to be adjourned,” she said

She stated further that she was ready to deliver judgement after the next two sittings and that she would not accept or entertain any excuse from both parties again.
