Osun govt suit against Oyebamiji frivolous, politically motivated – AMBO media

By Deborah Oladejo, Osogbo –
The Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO) Media Fronts has condemned the alleged suit by the Osun State Government aimed at disqualifying the APC governorship candidate, describing it as frivolous and politically motivated.
In a statement signed by its Coordinator, Adebayo Adedeji, AMBO Media said the lawsuit, which challenges Oyebamiji’s use of his Muslim name “Munirudeen” on an appointment letter as MD/CEO of NIWA, does not question his academic credentials.
“The so-called lawsuit does not even question the academic credentials of AMBO, after they unsuccessfully combed through the certificates of the APC candidate in search of faults. This is nothing but a ridiculous and frivolous suit,” the statement said.
The group noted that Adeleke has possibly seen the handwriting of electoral loss on the wall, hence the panic mode activated by his government.
Adedeji added that the Adeleke government, having realised that it has no scorecard to campaign with, has resorted to baseless allegations to tarnish Oyebamiji, a credible and well-educated candidate.
He also highlighted the contrast between Oyebamiji’s professional and academic accomplishments and unresolved legal issues surrounding Adeleke, including allegations of examination malpractice dating back several years, saying they believe such tactics can distract from real issues.
AMBO Media urged the public to disregard such distractions and remain focused on issues that truly matter—credible leadership, integrity, and the future of Osun State.
