Osun: Market women, farmers, students endorse Tinubu, Adeleke for second term

-as Presidency holds town hall meeting with stakeholders

Market women, farmers, and students in Osun State have endorsed President Bola Tinubu and Governor Ademola Adeleke for second terms, citing their administrations’ positive impacts on the state’s agriculture, education, and economy. They also urged the President to support Adeleke’s re-election bid in 2026.
Speaking during a town hall meeting with critical stakeholders in the State, organized by the Presidency in partnership with Osun government, held at the Local Government Service Commission, Abere, Osogbo, Osun State, the Iyaloja General of Osun, Chief (Mrs) Mary Oyebode emphasized that the market women in Osun State are ready to support President Tinubu to any length, citing the palliatives provided by the president during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Similarly, Osun Coordinator of Nigeria Women in Agric Development and Initiative, Alhaja Idayat Raji commended Tinubu and Adeleke’s efforts in the agricultural sector, appealing to the President for Adeleke’s re-election, saying “Let our governor be till 2030.”
Also, the students of Osun State, under the aegis of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) South West zone, also endorsed President Tinubu and Adeleke for second term.
The Secretary-General of NANS South West zone, Oluwole Aboke, appreciated President Tinubu for establishing a student loan scheme in the country, which he said has made education more accessible to all Nigerians. He also commended Adeleke for fulfilling his campaign promises to the students.
Also speaking, Governor Adeleke commended the President for sending his envoy to interact with Osun people.
Adeleke represented by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed said “Our policy from the beginning is that of partnership and collaboration with the centre without political colouration. We believe development transcends political division.”
Personal Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Constituency Affairs, Alhaja Khadijat Kareem assured the people of Osun State of the Federal Government’s commitment to addressing their needs, assuring that all discussions and concerns raised during her visit would be communicated to the President.
She called on the people to provide information of any abandoned Federal projects in their domains, promising to follow up on them.
