Osun NSCDC boss, Adaralewa charges field officers to adhere strictly to rules of engagement
The Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Osun State, Dr. Akintayo Adaralewa has charged the tactical and operational commanders of the Corps in the State to be disciplined, resolute, responsive and responsible while discharging their duties.
Adaralewa, was said to have gave the charge in a statement by the commands spokesperson, ASC Adeleke Kehinde, during a maiden meeting with the commanders in the state.
The NSCDC boss said they must adhere strictly to rules of engagement while discharging their duties, noting that NSCDC is known for ‘’humility in service delivery,’’ and that his administration would not accept excuses for failure.
He also informed them that his administration would prioritize training as he is committed to combatting criminalities in the State.
He said, “it would no longer be business as usual in Osun State. Therefore, all hands must be on deck to achieve the mandates of the Corps in protecting critical national assets and infrastructure.
‘’Discipline starts from training and adequate training improves personnel’s capacity to give their best to the nation. The Commandant General, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR, does not joke with training because it leads to improved performance. Here in Osun, we get our officers and men trained and retrained in combating emerging security challenges. We will leave no stone unturned to make Osun peaceful and secure.’’
Adaralewa who solicited for the cooperation of the field officers to paddle the boat of NSCDC Osun Command said their loyalty to the Corps is needed to justify its existence and make citizens sleep with their two eyes closed when their security is assured.
