Osun NSCDC deploys 1,457 men for Eid-el-Kabir celebration

Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Osun State Command, has deployed 1,457 officers and men for the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

The officers were deployed to all entry points in the state, praying grounds, recreation centres and other public places to ensure safety of lives and property.

Commandant of the Corps in the state, Agboola Sunday in a statement signed by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Atanda Olabisi on Friday assured members of the public that personnel deployed will discharge their duties with a high level of professionalism and dedication.

“Patrol vehicles have been put in place to prevent crimes, personnel have been deployed to residential areas, recreational and resort centres and around critical national assets and infrastructure in the state,” the statement said.

Agboola also said that the Corps would collaborate with other security agencies to ensure that the celebration is peaceful. 

He reiterated the readiness of the command to step up the operational strategies towards fulfilling the mandates of the Corps and to continue to perform its statutory mandates of protecting the critical national assets and infrastructure. 

The Commandant called on members of the public to be security conscious and report any suspicious movement to the authorities for immediate intervention.
