Osun residents hail Adeleke’s performance, seek priority improvement of roads, health, power

Residents across four communities in Osun State have given Governor Ademola Adeleke a high performance rating, while highlighting areas where they believe the administration must step up its efforts.
In Iragbiji, Ikirun, Otan-Ayegbaju and Ila, some residents told newsmen that the governor’s achievements stand out, even as they urged him to intensify efforts in health, education and agriculture to ensure his developmental agenda has a meaningful impact on the masses.
Deputy Secretary of Oke Ila Health Centre, Mrs Hope Oyadiji, praised the administration’s commitment to healthcare, noting that Governor Adeleke treats the sector as a priority and values workers’ welfare.
Oyadiji said drug supply has improved but appealed for more hands to manage the growing number of patients, adding, “We are given drugs, but we need more. We have a high number of patients but fewer staff, so we need more personnel.”
Also speaking, a factory worker at Omidun Waters, Boluwatife Agboola, applauded the government’s road projects, describing the newly constructed routes as a major boost to development and economic activity.
According to Agboola, “The road construction is excellent. Before the road was built, we avoided the route because of its poor condition, but now it has become a major route we use. The road is really serving its purpose, and we are happy with the governor.”
However, Mrs Omotola Olasele called on the governor to urgently fix the Idomina road leading to Ilesa, which she described as dangerous for motorists and passengers. She also urged the government to give equal attention to all routes leading to Ilesa, not just a select few.
Mrs Bisola Omoyemi also commended the governor’s developmental strides, appealing for the provision of more transformers to restore electricity to communities still in darkness.
