Oyetola, Adeleke, 13 others make INEC final list for Osun guber polls

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released final list of candidates for the July 16 governorship election in Osun State.
The commission released the names of the candidates and their running mates in a statement signed by its National Commissioner, Information and Voter Education Committee, Festus Okoye, on Monday.
The incumbent, Gboyega Oyetola, is the candidate of the All Progressives Congress with Benedict Alabi as its running mate, while Ademola Adeleke is Peoples Democratic Party’s governorship candidate and Adewusi Adegboyega as the deputy governorship candidate.
Other parties presenting candidates for the governorship election are Accord Party, African Action Congress, Allied People’s Movement, Action People’s Party, Boot Party and Labour Party.
Others are New Nigeria People’s Party, National Rescue Movement, People’s Redemption Party, Social Democratic Party, Young Progressive Party and Zenith Labour Party.
YPP’s Ademola Adeseye, 35, is the youngest governorship candidate, while Oyetola is the oldest at 67.
While no party presented a female governorship candidate, six (ADP, BP, NNPP, NRM, YPP, ZLP) have female deputy governorship candidates.
