Oyetola, Oyebamiji lead APC women to Osogbo market for AMBO

Former First Lady of Osun State, Mrs. Kafayat Oyetola, and the wife of the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in the state, Dr. Sekinat Oyebamiji, led APC women leaders to Orisunbare Market in Osogbo to canvass support for the party’s candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, popularly known as AMBO, ahead of the August 15 governorship election.

The campaign, organised under the Akoni Obinrin canvasser group, focused on voter education and mobilisation, with former Deputy Governor, Mrs. Titilaoye Ponle, wife of the deputy governorship candidate, Princess Adebukola Adereti, and APC Women Leader, Alhaji Kudirat Fakokunde, among those who participated.

Addressing the traders, Oyebamiji described the visit as a homecoming, saying the market women were familiar with AMBO and his economic agenda for the state.

She said the candidate’s “PROSPER” agenda would prioritise women, particularly traders, adding that economic prosperity could not be achieved without their active participation.

Oyebamiji urged the traders to mobilise support for her husband, describing him as the candidate capable of driving economic reforms and improving the state’s economy.

Similarly, Oyetola displayed a specimen ballot paper to the traders and explained that AMBO’s photograph would not appear on the ballot, urging them to identify the APC logo when voting.

She said, “You will not see the picture of AMBO on the ballot but APC with its logo, vote for us and you will not regret it,” while assuring the traders of the party’s commitment to their interests.

Earlier, the Babaloja of Orisunbare Market, Chief Qamarudeen Adeoti, pledged the traders’ support for the APC campaign, alleging that the Accord Party administration had failed to meet the needs of the market community.
