Oyo announces confirmation exams for 643 junior officers

The Oyo State Government has announced that the 2025 confirmation examination for junior officers will hold on Tuesday, September 30, 2025.
The Commissioner for Information, Prince Dotun Oyelade, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday, noting that the exam will take place at 10:00 a.m. at the Simeon Adebo Staff Development Centre, Secretariat, Ibadan.
According to the Commissioner for Establishments and Training, Professor Salihu Adelabu, a total of 643 junior officers are expected to participate.
The affected cadres include clerical assistants, clerical officers, store attendants, storekeepers, judiciary staff, and other allied categories.
Professor Adelabu explained that the examination will test candidates’ knowledge of Public Service Rules 1 and 2 (2013), Financial Regulations, and Current Affairs.
He emphasized that the exercise forms part of the state government’s agenda to entrench professionalism, discipline, and capacity building within the civil service.
“This exercise is a vital step in ensuring efficiency, accountability, and meaningful career progression in the civil service,” he stated.
The Commissioner urged all eligible officers to prepare adequately and be punctual on the examination day.
