Oyo announces date for coronation of new Eleruwa of Eruwa

The Oyo State Government has announced the date for the coronation of the new Eleruwa of Eruwa.

In a statement signed by the State Commissioner for Information, Prince Dotun Oyelade, it was revealed that Prince Adebayo Adegbola will be crowned on Saturday, June 28, 2025.

The statement also confirmed that the coronation ceremony has been endorsed by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Hon. Ademola Ojo.

The ceremony will be performed by the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde.

Prince Oyelade stated that the appointment of Prince Adebayo Adegbola as the new Eleruwa of Eruwa reaffirms the government’s dedication to preserving the town’s cultural heritage and fostering unity among its people.

He added, “Beyond its ceremonial significance, the coronation symbolizes the community’s collective commitment to honoring its historical roots and traditions.”

The Commissioner urged residents and stakeholders to actively participate in the ceremony, emphasizing that the event will help strengthen communal ties and usher Eruwa into an era of growth and prosperity.
