Oyo APC fails to hold governorship primary election, moves exercise to Friday

By Richard Thomas, Ibadan
The governorship primary election of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Oyo State failed to hold today at the Liberty Stadium, Ibadan.
While no concrete reason was given for the inability to hold the election as scheduled, our correspondent gathered that it was postponed as a result of non-delegates thronging the primary venue.
WesternPost gathered that the state chairman of the party, Isaac Omodewu and aspirants who were present had a meeting where they decided to move the exercise to Friday.
Some of the governorship aspirants present were Senator Teslim Folarin, Oloye Adebayo Adelabu, Dr. Azeez Adeduntan, Mr Akeem Alao and Hon. Akeem Agbaje.
State Resident Electoral Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Dr. Mutiu Agboke was present at the exercise.
