Oyo Assembly confirms reappointment of Civil Service Commission chairman, others

The Oyo State House of Assembly has confirmed the reappointment of Alhaji Kamoru Aderibigbe as Chairman of the Oyo State Civil Service Commission, along with four other nominees.
The confirmation followed the presentation of a report by the Chairman, House Committee on Establishment and Training, Hon. Olalekan Abiola, during Tuesday’s plenary session presided over by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin.
Hon. Abiola stated that the nominees were evaluated based on their Curriculum Vitae and previous experience in the state’s public service.
The newly confirmed members of the Civil Service Commission include Mr. Kolajo Isiaq Adewale (Commissioner I), Mr. Akanmu Olutoyin Adedeji (Commissioner II), Mr. Oladapo Oladimeji Olusegun (Commissioner III), and Pastor Taiwo Oluwagbemiro.
In a related development, the House also approved the nomination of four individuals as members of the Oyo State Judicial Service Commission.
Those confirmed are Mr. Musibau Adetunbi, SAN; Barr. Wahab Adedigba; Chief Joshua Abioye; and Mrs. Moyosore Ajani.
Presenting the report of the House Committee on Public Petitions, Justice and Judiciary, Chairman Hon. Abideen Ogundare said the nominees were thoroughly screened and found fit for the appointments.
He added that their confirmations were made in line with Section 198 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended), based on their presentations, responses, and professional experience.
