Oyo Government to establish airstrip in Igbeti, Otu

In order to strengthen security and improve surveillance efforts in the state, Oyo State Governor Engr. Seyi Makinde has announced plans to build an airfield with aircraft security equipment in Igbeti and Otu towns, respectively.
He also promised that additional Amotekun corps will be recruited to bolster the state security force.

The governor disclosed these during the passing out parade of 480 Amotekun Forest Rangers.
The governor expressed gratitude for the work done by the state Amotekun Corps and other security forces in the state, promising to keep providing the necessary tools and a monthly operating grant to encourage the security group to carry out its duties with diligence.
Governor Makinde also revealed the implementation of the hardship allowance for Amotekun Corps and Forest Rangers commanders and troops.
