Oyo lawmaker Adeyemi empowers youths with ICT skills, cash support

The Chairman, House Committee on South-West Development Commission at the House of Representatives, Hon Akeem Adeniyi Adeyemi, has announced the successful completion of a digital capacity-building programme organised for youths in Oyo Federal Constituency, supporting participants with laptops and cash.

Adeyemi disclosed on Friday that the initiative is an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) training, set up to equip young people with relevant digital skills and improve their economic opportunities.

The programme was held at the Prof Usman E-Learning Centre, School for the Physically Challenged (SPED), in Oyo, where participants received practical training aimed at enhancing digital literacy and entrepreneurship.

According to the lawmaker, official presentations were conducted at the IPAM Centre on behalf of Senator Yunus Akintunde, as well as at the Federal School of Surveying, Oyo, a centre facilitated through collaborative constituency efforts.

He added that beneficiaries of the programme received financial support and brand-new laptop computers to enable them apply the knowledge gained during the training.

Adeyemi expressed gratitude over the successful execution of the initiative, describing it as a significant step towards youth empowerment and sustainable development within his constituency.
