Panic as petrol tanker catches fire in Ibadan

There was palpable fear in Ibadan on Tuesday when a petrol tanker with a capacity of 33,000 litres suddenly caught fire.
The incident occurred near Muslim Grammar School, Odinjo end of Ibadan, along the Lagos-Ibadan highway, forcing residents and shop owners to scamper for safety.
Fortunately, no lives were lost in the incident.
An eyewitness stated that the driver lost control of the vehicle while trying to maneuver through bad spots on the road.
The General Manager of the State Fire Service, Rev’d Akinyemi Akinyinka, confirmed the incident.
At the time of filing this report, the extent of the damage could not be ascertained.
