Paris 2024: Tinubu congratulates D’Tigress on win against Canada

President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Nigeria’s national female basketball team, D’Tigress, on qualifying for the quarter-finals of the women’s basketball tournament at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

D’Tigress will be the first African team to reach the quarter-finals in Olympic basketball history.

In a statement released on Sunday by Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, President Tinubu praised the team for their exceptional resilience, teamwork, and diligence.

The President also commended the coach and managers for their dedication and hard work.

President Tinubu urged the determined D’Tigress to continue their efforts until they achieve final victory.

He assured the team and the entire Nigerian contingent at the 2024 Olympics of his unwavering support as they represent the nation on the global stage.
