Party chairmanship excites Ganduje, Kano APC

It was jubilation galore within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State as it emerged that the immediate-past governor of the state, Alhaji Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, had been tipped for the national chairmanship of the party.
Ganduje who was initially eyeing a ministerial appointment is delighted at the news of his impending emergence as chairman.
The former governor is slated to succeed Senator Abdullahi Adamu who was shoved aside as chairman three days ago.
Also prevailed upon to resign his office by the party’s government on account of sundry allegations of financial mismanagement is National Secretary, Senator Iyiola Omisore.
Former governor of Osun State, Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola, or Senator Ajibola Bashiru may step in as the new secretary.
The APC National Vice Chairman, North-west, Dr. Salihu Lukmon, had been up in arms with Adamu and Omisore over the running of the affairs of the party.
