PDP chairmen inaugurate new ALGON executives in Osun

The newly elected Local Government chairmen under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State have inaugurated new executives for the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) in the state.
The inauguration took place on Tuesday during the association’s first meeting at the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.
Chairman of Ifelodun Local Government, Hon. Sharafadeen Awotunde, emerged as the Chairman, while Hon. Lukman Afolabi of Ede South Local Government was elected as Secretary.
In his acceptance speech, Awotunde thanked members of the association for electing him and pledged to work closely with the Osun State Government to achieve developmental goals. He also commended the government’s efforts in maintaining peace in the state.
“I equally thank members of the public for supporting PDP candidates in the local government election. The association appreciates the peace initiatives of the Osun State Government under the leadership of Governor Ademola Adeleke and our vibrant PDP State Chairman, Hon. Sunday Bisi, for their commitment to stability.
“As the Chairman of ALGON, I pledge the support of all local government chairmen in aligning with the governor’s developmental strides throughout our tenure,” he said.

- Hon. Adeniran Felicia – Director of Social and Welfare
- Hon. Obafemi Kolade – Organising Secretary
- Hon. Ajibola Dada – Public Relations Officer (PRO)
- Hon. Jide Jooda – Ex-Officio I
- Hon. Atolagbe Kayode – Ex-Officio II
