PDP insists Ibadan will host national convention in November

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has reaffirmed that its national convention, scheduled for November 15 and 16, will hold in Ibadan, Oyo State, dismissing speculations of a parallel event.

National Publicity Secretary of the party, Debo Ologunagba, stated this on Tuesday in Abuja during a media parley.

He described reports of a separate convention as baseless, stressing that the party is strictly adhering to due process in line with its constitution.

“There is no such thing as a parallel convention. INEC has been part of our meetings and is aware of every step taken. The committees in charge of venue and logistics are already working to ensure success,” Ologunagba said.

He maintained that preparations are in top gear and assured members that the convention will be conducted smoothly in Ibadan as scheduled.
