Nigerian pop star and dancer Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P, has penned a heartfelt birthday message to his wife, Lola Omotayo-Okoye, as she celebrates her birthday.
The singer took to his official Instagram page on Wednesday to celebrate Lola, sharing affectionate pictures of the couple accompanied by his song, “I Love You Because”.
In his message, Okoye expressed his deep admiration for his wife and said he felt blessed to have her by his side. He also reaffirmed his commitment to her, saying he would choose her as his wife and lifelong partner in every lifetime.

“Happy birthday to my beautiful Queen, my love, my forever. I’m so blessed to have you by my side. I’d choose you over and over again, in every lifetime. Love you over and over again in every lifetime,” he wrote.
Reacting to the post, Lola commented, “My dearest hubby, thank you so much for everything. Love you”.
The couple, who have been together for 13 years, have two children, Cameron and Aliona. They recently attracted public attention following Peter’s “tell-all” series, in which he discussed issues that contributed to the ongoing family feud among the Okoyes.
Mr P was one half of the defunct P-Square duo, which dominated the Nigerian music scene in the 2000s with hits including “Bizzy Body” (2005), “Do Me” (2007), “No One Like You” (2007), “E No Easy” (2009), “Chop My Money” (2011), “Alingo” (2012) and “Personally” (2013).
The duo collaborated with local and international artistes before disbanding in September 2017. They later reconciled briefly but split again in August 2024.
