President of the African Development Bank (AfDB), Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, paid a courtesy visit to former President Muhammadu Buhari to express heartfelt appreciation for his unwavering support during his nomination and re-election campaigns for the AfDB presidency.

Dr. Adesina, who was first nominated by then-President Goodluck Jonathan, acknowledged Buhari’s instrumental backing during critical moments of his candidacy.

“I visited President Buhari to express my deep appreciation for his incredible support during my nomination by President Jonathan for election as President of the African Development Bank,” Adesina said.

“He strongly stood by me in difficult times, which ensured my re-election. Thank you, Sir.”
