PHOTO NEWS: Buhari relocates to Kaduna from Daura

Former President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday relocated from his home town Daura back to Kaduna to continue his post-office retirement life.
President Buhari returned to Daura on May 29, 2023 after he handed over power to President Bola Tinubu. The former President had hinted that Kaduna where he had lived for most of his adult life after his term as Military Head of State in 1985 will be his permanent residence.

Vice President Kashim Shettima, Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum and Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani welcomed the former President to his Kaduna home which has been renovated for his comfort.
Writing on the relocation, Governor Uba wrote on his social media handles:
“I had the honor of welcoming the former President of Nigeria, His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR back to his residence in Kaduna. He has been in his hometown Daura, Katsina State since he finished his second term as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“The former President was accompanied by the Vice President, His Excellency, Senator Kashim Shettima, GCON, His Excellency, Governor Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno State, Deputy Governor of Katsina State, His Excellency, Malam Faruk Lawal Jobe, amongst other well-wishers.
“I heartily welcome our dear former President, Muhammadu Buhari back to our dear state. I wish him a pleasant stay in his favorite city, Kaduna.”
