PHOTO NEWS: Ex-Assembly members visit Lagos Speaker
Some former members of the Lagos State House of Assembly have paid a solidarity visit to the Speaker of the House, Rt (Hon) Mojisola Lasbat Meranda.
The ex-members were those who had served from First Assembly to the Ninth Assembly.
Some of those who came were; former Majority Leader, Hon. Sanai Agunbiade, Former Deputy Speaker, Hon. Funmi Tejuosho, Former Deputy Majority Leader, Hon. Jimoh Wahab, Former Chief Whip, Hon. Rotimi Abiru, Former Minority Leader, Hon. Akeem Bello, Hon. Sultan Adeniji-Adele, Hon. Segun Olulade, and Hon. Moshood Oshun.
Others include; Hon. Oluyinka Ogundimu, Hon. Johnbull, Hon. Raheem Kazeem, Hon. Dayo Famakinwa, Hon. Saka Fafunmi, Hon. Bamgbose, amongst others.
On January 13, 2025, Meranda was elected Speaker by the members of the House after impeaching Hon. Mudashiru Obasa over alleged high-handedness, misconduct, and abuse of power.
At her first plenary session, Meranda announced the principal officers and set up a selection committee for the selection of standing committee.
