PHOTO NEWS: FCT Minister commissions rehabilitated Phase 2 water treatment plant at Lower Usuma Dam

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has commissioned the fully rehabilitated Phase 2 Water Treatment Plant at the Lower Usuma Dam in Ushafa, Bwari Area Council.
The project, valued at N50 billion and awarded in 2022, was completed under President Bola Tinubu’s administration as part of efforts to boost clean and potable water supply in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda.
The upgraded facility will significantly increase the plant’s capacity, improving water distribution to residents of the FCT.
The Minister also announced that work would begin today on expanding water supply to satellite towns, starting with Bwari Township (Lot 1), while Karu town and its environs (Lot 2) will follow on Thursday.
