PHOTO NEWS: FirstBank commences 40-storey new corporate headquarters in Lagos

FirstBank Plc on Wednesday broke the ground for a new corporate headquarters at the Eko Atlantic, Lagos.
Vice President Kashim Shettima who represented President Bola Tinubu at the event performed the groundbreaking event.

The event had many of the leading corporate executives, governors and business men and women in attendance.

Among those who attended the event were Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun and Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa. Other included Aliko Dangote, Gilbert Chagoury, former Senate President Bukola Saraki among others.

FirstBank Chairman Femi Otedola played host to the guests. On completion the building will become the tallest building in Nigeria and West Africa.

Writing on the event on social media, Governor Sanwo-Olu said:
“Today, I attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the First Bank Plc Iconic Tower at Eko Atlantic, Victoria Island, alongside the Vice President, His Excellency, Senator Kashim Shettima.

“This marks the beginning of a significant development project that promises to transform the skyline of Victoria Island and further enhance the economic landscape of our state.”
