Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule on Friday presented Ahmed Aliyu Wadada as his preferred successor to President Bola Tinubu.

The meeting took place at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

Western Post reported that governor Sule had publicly endorsed Wadada as his preferred candidate for the All Progressives Congress governorship ticket in Nasarawa State.

Wadada, who represents Nasarawa West Senatorial District in the Senate, has emerged as a leading contender in the race, with zoning discussions and internal party consultations shaping the succession battle in the state.
