Over the weekend, the Honourable Minister of Art, Culture and the Creative Economy, Hannatu Musa Musawa, joined Africa’s finest at the AMVCA — a vibrant celebration of the continent’s ever-evolving film industry.

She had the honour of presenting the award for Best Director, recognising the vision, creativity, and excellence that power African storytelling behind the scenes.

The Minister extended her congratulations to all the winners and applauded every nominee for their invaluable contributions to the growth of African cinema — affirming that they are all winners in their own right.

Her participation also aligns with the Ministry’s agenda of fostering strategic partnerships with the private sector, aimed at strengthening institutional support for the creative industry.
