PHOTO NEWS: Kagame hosts Global AI Summit on Africa in Kigali

President Paul Kagame of Rwanda is hosting an Artificial Intelligence Global Summit on Africa in Kigali from April 3-4, 2025.

The Summit that has President of Togo Faure Gnassingbe in attendance alongside policy markers, government leaders, Civil Society Leaders and AI experts will examine how AI will catapult Africa’s economic Renaissance.

President Kagame wrote on the summit:

“The potential for innovation and creativity on our continent is immense. That is already a comparative advantage which artificial intelligence can multiply. Right now, our strategy should be to go back to the drawing board and build a strong foundation for connectivity.

“Let’s continue working together, and driving AI to reduce inequality, and allow more and more of our citizens to benefit from the good AI can deliver to all of us.” President Kagame | Global AI Summit on Africa.”
