Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has congratulated Dr. Akinwumi Adesina on the completion of his tenure as President of the African Development Bank (AfDB).

Makinde, who joined family, friends, colleagues, and dignitaries in Abidjan for the ceremony held in Adesina’s honour, described him as a worthy ambassador of Nigeria whose leadership at the AfDB left a lasting impact.

The governor said Adesina’s stewardship not only elevated Nigeria’s image on the global stage but also improved lives across Africa through transformative initiatives.

“We are proud of Dr. Adesina and the indelible mark he made during his time in office. We wish him success in the next phase of his life,” Makinde stated.
