Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde and the Minister of Arts, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa, visited filmmaker Kunle Afolayan at his KAP Film Village and Resort in Igbojaiye, Oyo State.
The Governor and the Minister toured the facility, which has been used as a location for various film productions by Afolayan and others. The resort has since grown into a notable tourist destination and a hub for film production.

Governor Makinde shared details of the visit and the state’s commitment to supporting the project:

“At yesterday’s unveiling of KAP Film Village and Resort in Igbojaiye, Oyo State, I made some promises which our administration will fulfill to support Kunle Afolayan’s investment and ensure the business thrives. I also assured that we will support other investors who choose Oyo State.

“We will provide connectivity to the national grid for the resort and also deliver an alternative power source through a solar-hybrid mini-grid within six months.

“The Itesiwaju Local Government Council will handle the road leading to the resort. Additionally, the planned airstrips at Otu and Igbeti, intended for security surveillance, will be used to accommodate small aircraft from the Ibadan International Airport, making access to the resort easier.”
