PHOTO NEWS: Makinde hosts Gala Night for PDP Governors’ Forum in Ibadan

The Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, on Sunday night hosted a Gala Night in honour of members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’ Forum in Ibadan, the state capital.
The event, held at the Professor Thomas Oritsejolomi Hall, International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan, was organised as part of activities ahead of the PDP Governors’ Forum meeting scheduled for Monday, April 14, 2025. The night featured cultural performances, traditional displays, and fine dining, creating an atmosphere of unity and celebration among PDP leaders.

In attendance were the Chairman of the Forum and Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Mohammed; the host Governor Seyi Makinde; Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State; Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State; Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State; Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State; Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State; and Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State.

Deputy Governors who represented their states included Monday John Onyeme of Delta State and Senator (Dr.) Akon Eyakenyi of Akwa Ibom State.
Governor Makinde, while welcoming his colleagues, noted that the gathering was not only a celebration of party unity but also a reaffirmation of the PDP’s shared vision for national development. He described the Gala Night as an opportunity to showcase the rich cultural heritage of Oyo State and foster stronger collaboration among party stakeholders.

“The PDP remains the most viable platform for the rescue and rebuilding of Nigeria,” Makinde said, expressing Oyo State’s full commitment to the goals of the Forum and the advancement of the party’s core ideals.
The Gala Night served as a curtain-raiser for the PDP Governors’ Forum meeting, which is expected to address key national issues, internal party matters, and strategic planning ahead of future elections.
