HRM Oba Matemilola, alongside former Nigerian President and Balogun of Owu Kingdom, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, recently visited the Owiwi Dam in Eleyele/Kere town to assess its potential in driving agricultural and economic growth.
During the visit, Chief Obasanjo urged the community to rally behind their traditional ruler, HRH M.A. Ola Yusuf, the Olu of Eleyele town.
He emphasized that the dam presents vast opportunities for farming, fisheries, and agribusiness ventures, which could significantly enhance local food security and economic prosperity.
HRH M.A. Ola Yusuf highlighted the dam’s capacity to attract investors and agribusiness stakeholders, fostering job creation and overall development in the area. He called on both the government and private sector to explore investment possibilities to maximize the dam’s benefits.
Expressing his commitment to the town’s progress, HRM Oba Matemilola offered his royal blessings and prayers for continued peace, growth, and prosperity in Eleyele and its environs.
