Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and his Niger State counterpart, Umar Bago, on Tuesday joined the management of First Bank, led by Mr. Olusegun Alebiosu, at the 2025 edition of the bank’s sponsored Export Expo held at Eko Hotel, Victoria Island.
Governor Sanwo-Olu, who delivered a goodwill address, spoke on the economic imperative of growing Nigeria’s non-oil exports and commended First Bank for leading the initiative.
He later took to his social media pages to commend the bank after the event.

“Today, I spoke at the First Bank Nigeria Limited Agric and Export Expo 2025, where I shared my thoughts on the fundamentals of building a non-oil export-driven economy.
“I am convinced that the Nigeria we want to build cannot depend on oil alone. The true strength of our economy lies in the crops we cultivate, the goods we produce, and the products we can proudly present in international markets.

“Agriculture and non-oil exports remain the most reliable paths to creating jobs, fostering innovation, and securing lasting growth for our people.”
