PHOTO NEWS: Sanwo-Olu leads dignitaries at service of songs for Doyin Okupe

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu led dignitaries to the service of songs ahead of the funeral service of the late presidential spokesman, Dr. Doyin Okupe in Lagos on Thursday.
The service of songs which had in attendance family members, associates and children of the deceased was a celebration of life and times of the late medical doctor.

Sanwo-Olu took to his social media pages to eulogise Dr. Okupe thus:
“Today, I attended the Service of Songs for the late Dr. Doyin Okupe-Agbonmagbe.

Dr. Okupe, who served as President Olusegun Obasanjo’s special assistant on media and publicity and later as President Goodluck Jonathan’s senior special assistant on public affairs, leaves behind a remarkable legacy.

“Dr. Okupe was not just a politician; he was a distinguished Nigerian, a true gentleman, and an advocate for a better Nigeria. His life embodied dedication and service to humanity, touching countless lives.

“On behalf of the government and the people of Lagos State, I express my condolences to the family as you mourn the loss of your father, Dr. Doyin Okupe-Agbonmagbe.

“His memory will surely endure in the lives he touched and the principles he stood for.”
