Anambra State Governor, Charles Soludo, on Thursday paid a courtesy visit to President Bola Tinubu at the State House in Abuja.

The visit comes weeks after his re-election victory on 9 November.

In a post on his X account on Friday, Soludo shared photos from the visit, describing Tinubu as a “dear friend and brother of over 22 years.”

He said the President received him warmly and personally congratulated him on what he called a “resounding mandate” from the people of Anambra.

The governor noted that President Tinubu praised the election outcome as proof of the trust Ndi Anambra have in their collective vision for a more livable and prosperous state.

Soludo expressed gratitude for the President’s prompt congratulatory message and his continued support for Anambra, adding that both leaders remain committed to building a stronger Nigeria.

“May Anambra continue to win,” the governor wrote.

Soludo, of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), secured 422,664 votes — a commanding lead over his nearest rival, Nicholas Ukachukwu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who polled 99,445 votes.
