PHOTO NEWS: Tinubu’s, Atiku’s wives meet at Sani Abacha’s son’s wedding

First Lady Oluremi Tinubu and Titi Atiku Abubakar, wife of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar met at the wedding of the son of former Military Head of State, Sani Abacha, in Abuja.

They were joined at the occasion by Hon Justice Amina Audie, Rtd Justice of the Supreme Court; Hajia Maryam Sani Abacha, wife of former head of state and mother of the groom; Hajia Turai Yar’Adua; Dame Patience Jonathan.

The meeting was the first time the spouses of the leading candidates in last year’s presidential election were meeting since the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared President Tinubu winner of the election.

Both Tinubu and the former vice president were allies in 2007, with Atiku contesting presidency under the platform of the Action Congress.

Both men however fell apart after Atiku left the All Progressives Congress to return to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) where he contested for the nation’s number one seat, losing to Buhari in 2019 and Tinubu in 2023.
